Day 1: Nairobi > Samburu National Reserve
After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and depart for Samburu National Reserve. The journey north is scenic, passing through agricultural heartlands and the dramatic landscapes of the central highlands, with a stop at the Equator line for a fascinating demonstration. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in this unique ecosystem, searching for the 'Samburu Special Five'. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge/campsite.
Day 2: Full Day Exploring Samburu
The day begins with an early morning game drive when the animals are most active. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. After lunch, venture out for another extensive afternoon game drive. Explore the areas along the Ewaso Nyiro River, a vital water source that attracts elephants, lions, and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge/campsite.
Day 3: Samburu > Lake Nakuru National Park
Enjoy one final early morning game drive in Samburu, followed by breakfast at the lodge. After checking out, depart on the scenic drive south to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive in the late afternoon, check in to your lodge, and have some time to unwind. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge/campsite.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru > Nairobi
After an early breakfast, check out and proceed for a comprehensive game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famous for its flamingos and is a renowned rhino sanctuary, offering one of Kenya's best chances to see both black and white rhinos. After the game drive, depart for Nairobi, with a stop for lunch en route. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport in the evening.
